fish tacos

05 Aug

I love this recipe. My family loves this recipe.  It is super fast and has minimal ingredients.  But what I love most is the sauce!  Since it is made with Fage 0% greek yogurt, you can pile it on and get tons of flavor for little WWpts+.

Fish Tacos

  • 1 lb. tilapia fillets
  • olive oil non-stick spray
  • salt (I use Chili Verde Sea Salt from SaltWorks)
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 1/2 cup Fage 0% greek yogurt
  • zest of one lime, finely minced
  • juice of half lime
  • hot sauce, such as Tabasco
  • 12 thin-style corn tortillas
  • shredded cabbage
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped

Turn on broiler to low.  Spray a broiler pan with olive oil non-stick spray.  Place tilapia fillets on broiler pan, spray with non-stick spray and sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Broil fish until done, about 5-6 minutes.  It should flake easily with a fork.

To make the sauce:  combine yogurt, lime zest, lime juice, salt and pepper.  Add hot sauce to taste.  You can also add chopped cilantro if desired.

Heat tortillas in microwave or on the grill to soften.  To serve, place 2 ounces of fish on tortilla and top with sauce, cabbage, green onions, additional hot sauce and cilantro.

3 tortillas, 6 ounces of fish and 2 ounces of sauce is 8 WWpts+.

This is as good a fish taco as I have ever eaten. Fish Taco’s are one of my favorite meals. I’ll definitely make this one again.
