I discovered this recipe from hungrygirl.com and it transformed my morning oatmeal. Her recipe makes a deliciously creamy, slightly sweet bowl of goodness. My favorite topping is a tablespoon of chopped raisins.
And let me tell you how hard it is to get a good picture of oatmeal!
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup 40 calorie Vanilla flavored Almond Milk
- sprinkle of Splenda
- sprinkle of cinnamon
Combine all ingredients into a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 8-10 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
